Valhalla Jr. Vikings Lacrosse (VJVL)

As with all things, much work must be done before a young player can step into the game. For us, that game is lacrosse!

Valhalla Jr. Vikings Lacrosse (VJVL) emphasizes good sportsmanship, teamwork, camaraderie, healthy competition, and the fun of playing lacrosse.

Lacrosse is a club sport that us sanctioned by US Lacrosse.

VJVL operates as a 501c3, non-profit organization with a volunteer board of directors made up of parents.

In addition to the Board, VLC relies on parent volunteers for every job, from team coordinator to timekeeper to youth coach.

Now is a great time to volunteer!

Positive Coaching Alliance

VJVL believes in the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA)

PCA is a national nonprofit organization committed to providing all youth and high school athletes a positive, character-building youth sports experience.

Mini-Documentary for Positive Coaching Alliance, featuring NFL Hall of Famer and PCA National Advisory Board Member Steve Young. PCA is transforming youth sports so sports can transform youth. Through partnership with more than 1,700 youth sports organizations, leagues, schools and cities nationwide, PCA has conducted 10,000-plus workshops for youth sports coaches, parents, organizational leaders and athletes. This video illustrates the need for PCA, what problems the organization solves and what opportunities for youth PCA creates.

PCA annually honors 20 youth and high school sports coaches from throughout the U.S. who embody the ideals of the Double-Goal Coach, striving to win, while also pursuing the second, more-important goal of teaching life lessons through sports.Any current head coach of any youth or high school sport in the U.S. with at least three years' experience is eligible for nomination. Nominations -- open through Dec. 31 -- may come from a school or youth sports organization leader, fellow coach, parent, athlete, friend or family member. The award includes $250, a stunning trophy and recognition in PCA's website, newsletters and media campaigns.

History

Established in 2017 by local parents and high school coach Tara Lahm, the club is brand new.

We do not boast any fantastic state championships or college recruiting statistics. Instead, you can directly support our efforts by volunteering time, talent, or treasure.

We need your help to get off the ground and hope you can become a part of the Club's legacy.
